Karen S. Surman

KAREN S. SURMAN, 71, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 3:01 pm, Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at her residence.

She was born to the late Orval and Doris (nee Terry) Stull on December 20, 1948 in DuQuoin, Illinois.

Karen married Roger Surman on July 14, 1972 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Chester; he survives.

She had worked as a secretary at Gilster Mary-Lee Corporation.

Karen was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Chester. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved her animals.

Preceded in Death by : Parents, 1 Son – Timothy Hartman and 1 Sister – Jackie Stafford

It was Karen’s wish to be cremated. A private graveside service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
