Kenneth "Ken" Dale Burris

KENNETH “KEN” DALE BURRIS, 60, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 12:10 pm, Friday, October 21, 2022 at Carbondale Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, Illinois.

He was born to the late Bille John and Rose Marie (nee Fisher) Burris on March 20, 1962 in Sparta, Illinois. He was one of ten children.

Ken married Tammy White on July 6, 1994 in Chester, Illinois; she survives.

Ken spent most of his life being a driving trucks. He worked for Gilster Mary-Lee Corporation and most recently he had worked at Wal-Mart in Chester.

Ken graduated from Pinckneyville High School.

He enjoyed watching sports and fishing. He looked forward to each day he spent with family and friends. Ken especially enjoyed helping his grandchildren. Ken will be remembered for his jovial presence and smile. Ken present will always be felt by his family and friends.

It was Kenneth’s wishes to be cremated. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 pm,

Saturday, October 29, 2022 at American Legion, Chester, Illinois with gathering beforehand from

12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. Memorials in Kenneth’s memory can be made to American Heart

Association.
