Kevin "Mike" M. Powell

KEVIN “MIKE” M. POWELL, 62, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 9:06 am, Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at his residence.

He was born to the late Russel Teague and Barbara Nenninger on December 30, 1958 in East St. Louis, Illinois.

Mike married Bonnie Valleroy on December 16, 1991 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ruma, Illinois; she survives.

He had worked as a correctional officer at Menard Correctional Center for 25 years.

Mike was of Christian Faith. He was also a member of the Patriots Guard and was involved in Wounded Warriors. Mike enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, debating, star gazing and loved music.
