Kevin P Kern

KEVIN P. KERN , 69, of O’Fallon, Illinois, passed away at 5:05 am, Monday, January 11, 2021 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Illinois.

He was born to the late Joseph and Cora (nee Boyd) Kern on February 19, 1951 in Red Bud, Illinois.

Kevin married Rhonda Cook on September 10, 1983 in Belleville, Illinois; she survives.

Kevin had been a nurse anesthetist at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois for nearly 40 years and was well respected at his job.

Kevin lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed his time with his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling the United States and also internationally. One of his favorite places to travel was Ireland; the birthplace of his mother. He liked snow skiing, nature, animals, boating and spending time at the lake house at Lake Catatoga, Shipman, Illinois.

Preceded in death by: Parents, 1 Sister – Patricia Kern and 3 Brothers – Daniel Kern, Brian Kern (died in infancy) and Terry Kern (died in infancy)

It was Kevin’s wishes to be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at a later time.

Memorials contributions can be made in Kevin’s memory to Gibault Catholic High School, Waterloo and memorials are being accepted at Pechacek Funeral Homes in Red Bud.
