Laura Mae Coop

LAURA MAE COOP, 85, of Walsh, Illinois, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023 at Randolph County Care Center, Sparta, Illinois.

She was born to the late Boniface and Grace (nee Ragsdale) Link on April 14, 1938 in Walsh, Illinois.

Laura married Edward C. Coop on November 22, 1956 at St. Pius V Catholic Church, Walsh, Illinois; he preceded her in death on July 2, 2019.

She was a homemaker. Laura also worked part time at the Post Office in Walsh.

Laura was a member of St. Pius V Catholic Church, Walsh, Illinois where she played a large role in taking care of the church. She was also a member of the Altar Sodality and the Catholic Fraternal Life. Laura enjoyed quilting and baking pies and was known for her cherry pies. She loved spending time with family and made an amazing Sunday dinner.
