LAWRENCE O. MCDONOUGH, 85, of Ellis Grove, Illinois, passed away at 12:35 pm, Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Evelyn’s House, Creve Coeur, Missouri.

He was born to the late Harry and Sarah (nee Fisher) McDonough on August 7, 1933 in Ellis Grove, Illinois.

Lawrence married Shirley Mae Seymour on August 25, 1951 in Ellis Grove, Illinois; she preceded him in death on January 6, 2016.

He was a Captain at Menard Correctional Center for 27 years.

Lawrence was a member of First Baptist Church in Ellis Grove where he served as a deacon. He was a woodworker and worked craft shows with his wife. He also enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with his grandkids and family.
