LEO J. EVANS, 89, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 7:10 am, Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Randolph County Care Center, Sparta, Illinois.

He was born to the late Thoedore and Emmaline (nee Brown) Evans on June 3, 1931 in Modoc, Illinois.

Leo married Virginia L. Voges on September 9, 1950 in Red Bud, Illinois; she preceded him in death on November 29, 2016.

He was a farmer and a businessman.

Leo was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Illinois. He is now with his loving wife of 66 years.

Shane Evans, Brandon Stimmel, Emma VanBuren and Carson Mattingly

Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends

Preceded in death by: Parents, Wife and 1 Brother – Dale Evans

A Private Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Illinois with Msgr. Dennis Schaefer officiating.

A Public Graveside Service will be held at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Red Bud, Illinois.

We ask that everyone wears a mask and please use social distancing guidelines.

Memorials contributions can be made in Leo’s memory to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or American Cancer Society and memorials are being accepted at Pechacek Funeral Homes in Red Bud.
