Lloyd J Ashbaker

LLOYD J. ASHBAKER, 85, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 16, 2022 at his residence. He was born to the late Emil and Mildred (nee Calbert) Ashbaker on December 12, 1936 in Perry County, Illinois. Lloyd married Sandra Braun on March 16, 1962 in Clayton, Illinois; she survies. He was a Lieutenant at Menard Correctional Center in Chester, Illinois for over 20 years. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #6632 in Red Bud, Illinois. In Lloyd’s younger years, he enjoyed bowling, horseback riding, hunting, fishing and traveling with his wife. He was an Air Force Veteran. Survivors: Wife: Sandy Ashbaker Red Bud, IL 1 Son: Mark (Sharron) Ashbaker San Antonio, TX 2 Siblings: Vernon (Diane) Ashbaker San Bernardino, CA DeEtta Peterson Amarillo, TX 4 Grandchildren: Zennata, Rebekkah, Sammuel and Izabella Ashbaker Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends Preceded in death by: Parents, 5 Brothers – Terrance, Raymond, Bill, Jerry & Francis Ashbaker and 2 Sisters – Judith Ashbaker and Rosemary Boyd A Private Graveside service was held at St. Marcus Cemetery in Red Bud, Illinois with Msgr. Dennis Schaefer officiating.
