Margaret "Marge" Ann Abell

MARGARET “MARGE” ANN ABELL , 88, of Evansville, Illinois, passed away at 2:37 am, Monday, May 13, 2024 at her daughter’s home.

She was born to the late Louis and Catherine (nee Schmitt) Spahr on March 2, 1936 Equality, Illinois.

Marge married William “Bill” J. Abell on February 9, 1954 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Pond Settlement, Illinois; he preceded in death on December 26, 1997.

She had been a homemaker and also had worked at Singer Furnace Factory in Red Bud, Illinois. She also worked with her husband, Bill, at Abell Woodworking.

Marge was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, Illinois and the American Legion Auxiliary in Evansville, Illinois. She loved working in her garden. Marge was known for her famous chocolate chip cookies. She enjoyed sewing and going to dances.
