Marian R. Knop

MARIAN R. KNOP, 91, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 6:30 am, Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Addington Place of Sparta, Sparta, Illinois.

She was born to the late Theodore E. and Amelia M. (nee Blumenschein) Guebert on December 12, 1934 in Red Bud, Illinois.

Marian married Roger W. Knop on November 23, 1957 in Red Bud, Illinois; he preceded her in death on September 6, 1976.

She had worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Memorial Hospital in Chester until her retirement. Marian had also volunteered for the Chester Grade School Preschool for several years.

Marian was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois. Marian enjoyed reading, gardening and traveling with her friends Lisa Austin and Doris Feaman.
