Marilyn M. Runge

MARILYN M. RUNGE, 88, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 6:49 pm, Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois.

She was born to the late Arnold and Irma (nee Welge) Schweizer on December 12, 1932 in Red Bud, Illinois.

Marilyn married Earl Runge on June 8, 1951 in Chester, Illinois; he preceded her in death on August 11, 1993.

She had worked as a secretary for Chester Housing Authority.

Marilyn was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and Chester Women’s Club. Marilyn loved spending time with her family and enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren in sporting events.
