Marjorie "Margie" J. Gregory

MARJORIE “MARGIE” J. GREGORY, 96, of Walsh, Illinois, passed away at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Randolph County Care Center, Sparta, Illinois.

She was born to the late Welda and Ethel (nee Lux) DeRousse on March 3, 1930, in Modoc, Illinois.

On October 31, 1953, Margie was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Gregory, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Modoc, Illinois. Together, they built a life filled with love and shared memories until Bob preceded her in death on June 29, 1990.

A dedicated and hardworking woman, Margie spent 28 years working at the International Shoe Factory in Evansville, Illinois.

Margie was a devout member of St. Pius V Catholic Church in Walsh, Illinois, where she actively participated in the parish community and was a member of the St. Ann’s Altar Sodality.

In her free time, Margie embraced the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for quilting and spent countless hours creating beautiful pieces. She found great joy in playing bingo, bowling with friends, tending to her garden and flowers, and cheering faithfully for her favorite team, the St. Louis Cardinals. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her family and loved ones.
