MARLENE M. COWELL , 81, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 7:30 am, Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, Illinois.

She was born to the late Wendell J. and Emily D. (nee Heizer) Fausz on October 11, 1938 in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois.

Marlene married Roger Cowell on November 21, 1959 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois; he survives.

Marlene had worked in the Banking Business for 45years. She started working for First State Bank of Red Bud in 1956, then worked at State Bank of Prairie du Rocher and she retired from First National Bank in Red Bud (now First Bank). She enjoyed organizing the bus trip for the bank.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Illinois and she loved to travel.
