Mary Catherine Korando

MARY CATHERINE KORANDO, 77, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 3:45 am, Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois.

She was born to the late William P. and Mary “Jo” (nee Yankey) Lang on August 24, 1948 in Chester, Illinois.

Mary married Larry Korando on November 5, 1966 in Chester, Illinois; he survives.

She was a homemaker and had worked as a private housekeeper for many families.

Mary loved to sing, fish, split wood and care for her many rescued cats along with other wildlife.

        Koda McIntyre, Kytana Combs, Briella McIntyre, Evelyne McIntyre, Kopelyn Combs and Briar McIntyre

   Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends

Preceded in Death by: Parents and 2 Brothers – Charles and Gerald Lang

It was Mary’s wish to be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to Chester Animal Hospital and are being accepted at Pechacek Funeral Home.
