Melba Jean Buehler

MELBA JEAN BUEHLER , 88 , of Ruma , Illinois, passed away at 8:20 pm, Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Mercy Hospital South , St. Louis, Missouri.

She was born to the late Timothy Joseph and Antoinette (nee Godier) DeRousse on March 13, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Melba Jean married Irvin Buehler on May 12, 1949 in Red Bud, Illinois; he preceded her in death on December 20, 2009.

She had worked at International Shoe Company in Evansville, Illinois, had worked as a receptionist at Country Companies in Red Bud, Illinois and worked the switch board and receptionist at the Ruma Convent for 12 years until her retirement.

She was a devoted Catholic and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ruma, Illinois. She enjoyed playing bingo. She loved to travel and visited all 50 states.
