MELONIE A. BOLLINGER, 68, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 9:10 am, Monday, May 19, 2025, at her residence.
She was born to the late Walter H. and Leona J. (nee Althoff) Dannenbrink on November 29, 1956, in Red Bud, Illinois.
After high school, Melonie worked as a secretary for Earl Sachtleben for many years. She then went to work in accounts receivable at Weir’s and retired from Ed Morse in Red Bud.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Illinois.
Over the years, Melonie volunteered as a Sunday School Teacher, librarian, and wherever she was needed. If it involved her daughter, Melissa, she was there. Always present, always cheering, always there to listen. She enjoyed the many class reunions that she would help organize. She loved cooking, crafting, reading, animals, and, most of all, her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. She was the epitome of a present grandmother. Attending almost every event her grandchildren were in. She loved them more than anything.
