Nancy Ann Brown

NANCY ANN BROWN, 68, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 12:05 am, Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at her residence.

She was born to the late Clinton and Lillian (nee Schmidt) Porter on September 17, 1956, in Red Bud, Illinois.

Nancy had worked in the billing department for MedStar in Sparta, Illinois, for 20 years. Before working for MedStar, she had worked as a CNA at Canterbury Manor in Waterloo for many years.

Nancy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending her time reading and tending to her garden. A gifted cook, she delighted in preparing meals for her family, and some of her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Christmas was her favorite time of year—she cherished its warmth, traditions, and the opportunity it brought to gather with loved ones.

It was Nancy’s wish to be cremated and no services will be held at this time.
