Neil F Mudd

NEIL F. MUDD , 71 , of Ruma, Illinois, died peacefully at home on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at his residence.

He was born to the late Percy A. and Anna Marie (nee Glasgow) Mudd on October 16, 1951 in Red Bud, Illinois.

Neil married Linda Mollet on October 15, 1977 at St. Leo Catholic Church, Modoc, Illinois; she survives.

Neil worked at Spartan Printing for 26 years. He encouraged his daughter’s love of reading with a steady supply of Archie Comic Books. He also worked in security at the Jerry F. Costello Lock and Dam before spending 14 years at TMW in Red Bud, Illinois.

Neil farmed the family farm his whole life with his father and then his brother. Neil was honest, hardworking, dependable and very loving.

He was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church, Modoc, Illinois and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Prairie du Rocher, Illinois. He was also member of Ft Chartres Sportsman’s Club.

Although he never attended a game, he was an avid Cardinal baseball fan.
