NORMA WINGERTER, 91, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 4:45 am, Monday, August 31, 2026 at Independence Care Center, Perryville, Missouri.

She was born to the late James Wilbert and Irene Bertha (nee Shemonic) Smith on June 7, 1935 in Rockwood, Illinois.

Norma married Edward “Tim” Lee Wingerter on February 26, 1955 in Rockwood, Illinois; he preceded her in death on September 21, 2017.

She had worked as a beautician.

Norma was a member of Family Worship Center in Chester, Illinois. She enjoyed talking on the phone, online shopping and loved spending time with her family.
