Norman "Butch" Leo Bachelier

NORMAN “BUTCH” LEO BACHELIER , 77, of Prairie du Rocher, Illinois, passed away at 10:57 pm, Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, Illinois.

He was born to the late Gilmore and Leona (nee Fausz) Bachelier, Sr. on July 6, 1941 in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois.

He married Sherry Ray on December 28, 1963 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois; she preceded in death on April 30, 1975.

He had worked as a Carpenter for Niermann Construction, Hecht Construction and then for Nevois Construction.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Prairie du Rocher, Illinois and Fort de Chartres Sportsman Club. He enjoyed hunting, raising cattle, and crocheting. He loved to read, play horseshoes., and cigars. He also made the dressing for the church picnic for thirty years.

He was an Army Reservist Veteran.
