Opal Fern Roche

OPAL FERN ROCHE , 90 , of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 7:25 pm, Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home, Chester, Illinois.

She was born to the late Fifer and Nellie B. (nee Weaver) Chappell on November 2, 1929 in Tilden, Illinois.

Opal married Robert Roche on August 9, 1947 in Chester, Illinois; he preceded her in death on September 2, 1993.

She was a homemaker.

Opal was a member of First Baptist Church in Steeleville, Illinois. She enjoyed playing bingo and dancing.

It was Opal’s wish to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
