ORVILLE R. HARTMAN, 87, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 2:00 am, Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at his residence.
He was born to the late Ervin and Hilda (nee Haberman) Hartman on May 9, 1938 in Bremen, Illinois.
Orville married Betty Walker on May 9, 1964 at St. John Lutheran Church in Chester; she survives.
He retired from Chester Mental Health Center and worked at Singer for many years prior.
Orville was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester. He enjoyed fishing, bird watching, hunting, bowling and dancing. Orville also enjoyed gardening and watching St. Louis Cardinal Baseball.
He was a United States Army Veteran.
