PAUL H. KOHLBERG, 88, of Florissant, Missouri, passed away at 6:23 am, Monday, May 25, 2026, at his residence.
He was born to the late Harry and Dorothy (nee Pautler) Kohlberg on April 22, 1938, in Red Bud, Illinois.
Paul was united in marriage to Mary Jo Schaub on August 21, 1971, in Moberly, Missouri. Together, they shared 54 years of marriage. She survives.
Paul graduated from St. Francis Borgia High School in Union, Missouri, and went on to Missouri S&T in Rolla, Missouri, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. His specialty was facilities management at Crown Zellerbach and UMSL, and he retired from the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Paul was a true craftsman at heart who found great joy in woodworking and took great pride in maintaining his family home in Evansville and his current home in Florissant, Missouri. Paul also possessed a deep appreciation for history and heritage; he dedicated much of his time compiling family photos while researching his family genealogy. He and his brother Edward collected many Native American artifacts from the farm fields around Evansville. Above all, he loved sharing time with his family and barbecuing.
