Paul L Liefer

PAUL “SONNY” L. LIEFER, 88, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 8:06 am, Thursday, March 6, 2026, at Bria of Belleville.

He was born to the late Herman and Lily (nee Huber) Liefer on February 5, 1938, in Red Bud, Illinois.

Paul married Helen Krupp on April 5, 1959, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Renualt, Illinois. They were blessed with 66 years of marriage.

Sonny had worked at Snyder General in Red Bud until it closed. He then worked at Weigmann in Freeburg until his retirement.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Ruma, Illinois. Sonny enjoyed hunting, camping, and mowing the lawn.

He also served in the Army Reserves.
