Regina F Scherle

REGINA F. SCHERLE , 89 , of Evansville , Illinois, passed away at 6:17 am, Friday, December 25, 2020 at Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, Illinois.

She was born to the late Jacob H. and Frances C. (nee Eschmann) Schaefer on April 15, 1931 in Waterloo, Illinois.

Regina married Robert H. Scherle on September 3, 1951 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Illinois; he preceded her in death on December 4, 2019.

Regina had been a janitor at the Red Bud Elementary School for over 20 years.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ruma, Illinois. She enjoyed quilting at the church, working in her garden, taking long walks in the woods and spending time with her dogs and chickens.

It was Regina’s wishes to be cremated. A Private Graveside Service will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Ruma, Illinois.

Memorials contributions can be made in Regina’s memory to St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery Fund and memorials are being accepted at the Pechacek Funeral Homes in Red Bud.
