RICHARD A. MOORE, 80, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 6:48 pm, Monday, September 14, 2020 at OSF St. Anthony’s Health Center, Alton, Illinois.

He was born to the late Jesse Washington and Edna Laura (nee Hermes) Moore on December 13, 1939 in Chester, Illinois.

He had worked as a Security Guard at Menard Correctional Center and Chester Mental Health.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chester, Illinois and Breezy Hill Radio Controlled Flying Club in Chester. He enjoyed fishing, reading classic novels and Sherlock Holmes.

He was an Air Force Veteran.

Preceded in Death by : Parents, 2 Sisters and 4 Brothers

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorial can be given in Richard’s memory to In Touch Ministry and m emorials are being accepted at the funeral home.
