Richard L. Schlesinger

RICHARD L. SCHLESINGER , 6 9 , of Prairie du Rocher, Illinois, passed away at 9:00 pm, Friday, February 7, 2020 at Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, Illinois.

He was born to the late Walter E. and Helen (nee Weber) Schlesinger on October 8, 1950 in Belleville, Illinois.

He married Karla Brown on June 23, 1979 in Freeburg, Illinois; she survives.

He was a coal miner for Peabody Energy and was a truck driver for Falling Springs Quarry.

Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and sprint car racing. He was a member of the Sportman’s Club at Modoc and Freeburg. Richard loved to watch Brayden play sports, especially Musket Football.
