Richard L. Trokey

RICHARD L. TROKEY, 81, of Steeleville, Illinois, passed away at 10:05 am, Sunday, April 20, 2025 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, Illinois.

He was born to the late Isaac and Shirley (nee Cook) Trokey on January 18, 1944 in East St. Louis, Illinois.

Rich married Melinda Scarcliff on June 1, 1972 in Murphysboro, Illinois; she survives.

He was employed for 30 years in Human Resource Management, retiring in 1999 from NTN-Bower Corporation.

Rich was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post #480 in Steeleville, Illinois for 44 years and was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #3252 in Chester, Illinois. Rich was a charter member of the Steeleville Library Board and served several years on the Village of Steeleville Zoning Board.

It was Rich’s wish to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made in Rich’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and are being accepted at Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester.
