Rita Dorothy Perzia

RITA DOROTHY PERZIA , 96 , of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 6:27 pm, Friday, March 13, 2020 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home, Chester, Illinois.

She was born to the late Samuel Joseph Klein and Bernice Laura (nee McClure) on January 2, 1924 in Kaskaskia Island, Illinois.

She married Jim Petrowske in October 19, 1944 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois; he preceded her in death on June 21, 1965. She then married Leonard Anthony Perzia on January 25, 1969 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois; he preceded her in death on September 13, 2010.

She had worked at International Shoe Company in Chester and Evansville, Illinois and then retired from Spartan Printing in Sparta, Illinois.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Chester, Illinois.

It was Rita’s wishes to be cremated.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Chester, Illinois.
