Robert G Pautler

ROBERT G. PAUTLER, 85, of Evansville, Illinois, passed away at 2:20 am, Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, Illinois.

He was born to the late Ezra and Bertha (nee Stork) Pautler on June 16, 1933 in Walsh, Illinois.

Bob married Brenda Lee Penford on July 18, 1959 in Evansville, Illinois; she survives.

Bob was owner of Randolph Signs Outdoor Billboards, past assistant director for the Illinois Dept of Mines and Minerals, three time elected Randolph County Commissioner, and had been a coal miner. He also had served on the Secretary of State Merit Commission.

He was a member of St. Pius V Catholic Church, Walsh, Illinois. He was a life member of VFW Post #3553 in Chester, Illinois, AMVETS, NERA(Naval Enlisted Reserve Assoc), member of American Legion Post # 1172 in Evansville, Illinois, Knights of Columbus #1952 Evansville, Illinois, charter member of Kaskaskia General Assembly 4 ^th Degree Knight of Columbus. He had been a past member of Randolph County Democrat Central Committee; where he served as the chairman for twelve years.

He was a Navy Veteran from 1952-1956 and served during the Korean War and then join ed the U.S. Navy Seebee Reserves from 1977-1993.
