Roberta M. Lurk

ROBERTA M. LURK, 83, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 5:32 pm, Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

She was born to the late Leslie and Marcella (nee Gregson) Heyl on October 7, 1942 in Red Bud, Illinois.

Roberta married Charles C. Lurk on April 30, 1966 at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church in Hecker, Illinois; he preceded her in death on August 18, 2021.

She had worked at the TWA reservations department, the Singer furnace factory, HanDee Mart, and was a cook at St. John the Baptist Catholic School and Ahne’s Bakery in Red Bud and Waterloo.

Roberta was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Illinois, where she served on the parish council committee, helped run the annual quilt bingo, and quilted with her church group.

She enjoyed making homemade, hand-quilted quilts, crocheting, and needlework. For twelve straight years, she had watched Red Bud High School football.

   Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends
