ROGER A. FRIES , 91 , of Evansville, Illinois, passed away at 6:50 pm, Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois.

He was born to the late Walter and Bertha (nee Dieckman) Fries on September 13, 1929 in Valmeyer, Illinois

Roger married Marie J. Labruyere on October 25, 1947 in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois; she survives.

He worked at M & I Railroad for 20 years, Allied Chemicals for 11 years, and Peabody Coal Company for 17 years.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois.

He loved to help on the farm, enjoyed lawn mowing, playing cards, taking trips with his friends, and going to dances.
