Roger A Hawkins

ROGER A. HAWKINS, 74, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 5:31 pm, Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at his residence.

He was born to Milton C. and Frances J. (nee Stanhouse) Hawkins on April 5, 1946 in Galesburg, Illinois.

Roger married Wanda Chandler on June 7, 1965 in Sparta, Illinois; she survives.

He had worked at Spartan Printing in Sparta, Illinois for 20 years and then went to work as a Truck Driver for 7 years until his retirement.

He was a member of New Palestine Methodist Church in Walsh, Illinois.

He raised and trained many successful coon hounds and was an avid bass fisherman. He had worked for American Cooner Magazine in Sesser, Illinois and was featured on the front cover in the 1970’s. He also won 4 ^th place in the Tournament of Champions on Bull Shoals Lake.

He loved spending time with his family at Orange Beach, Alabama.
