Rosemarie "Rosie" C. Mudd

ROSEMARIE “ROSIE” C. MUDD , 78, of Prairie du Rocher, Illinois, passed away at 3:12 pm, Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Mercy Hospital South, St. Louis, Missouri.

She was born to the late Henry H. and Veronica M. (nee Ehrstein) Kettler on May 23, 1943 in Paderborn, Illinois.

Rosie married Douglas J. Mudd on April 1, 1967 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Paderborn, Illinois; he survives.

She was a homemaker for many years and also worked at the Adorers of the Blood of Christ in Ruma, Illinois in the housekeeping department until her retirement.

She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois and she was devout in her faith. She was a faithful worker at the parish picnic, the winter breakfast fundraiser and was on the church decorating committee. She served on the school board at Prairie du Rocher Community Consolidation School District #134 from 1981-1993. She was active in the Cub Scouts in Prairie du Rocher for 15 years, where she was a den leader, cub master and unit commissioner.

Rosie enjoyed being with her family, working in her vegetable garden & flower bed, canning, cooking & baking and embroidery.
