Rudelle M. Rahlfs

RUDELLE M. RAHLFS , 92 , of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 12:26 pm, Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home, Chester, Illinois.

She was born to the late Rudolph and Alma (nee Wilson) Diercks on March 7, 1928 in Chester, Illinois.

Rudelle married Clarence H. Rahlfs on October 12, 1947 in Bremen, Illinois; he preceded her in death on May 21, 2006.

She had worked as a bus driver for Chester School District for 45 years.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bremen, Illinois. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Chester and volunteered at the hospital, the court house and her church. She enjoyed quilting. Rudelle had also worked in the kitchen at Chester High School and at the Prim Hosiery in Chester.

Preceded in Death by : Parents, Husband, 1 Brother – Ray Diercks, 1 Sister – Alma Clasen and 1 Infant Sister – Marcella Diercks

It was Rudelle’s wish to be cremated. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.

A private graveside service will be held at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Bremen.

Memorials contributions can be made in Rudelle’s memory to St. John’s Building Fund or Shriner’s Children’s Hospital and memorials are being accepted at Pechacek Funeral Homes in Chester.
