SHARON L. DEROUSSE , 74, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 1:05 pm, Friday, January 19, 2024 at Bria of Columbia, Columbia, Illinois.

She was born to the late Henry H. and Wilma (nee Kruse) Liefer on August 12, 1949 in Red Bud, Illinois.

Sharon married Donald DeRousse on November 23, 1967 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois; he survives.

She had worked at the Ben Franklin Store and Horse Prairie Insurance Company in Red Bud, Illinois.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Illinois. Sharon volunteered at St. John’s Lutheran School when her grandchildren attended and also had been a den mother for the Cub Scouts. She enjoyed reading, putting together puzzles, craft projects with the grandchildren and working on embroidering. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.
