Sharon L. Hammers

SHARON L. HAMMERS, 76, of Prarie du Rocher, Illinois, passed away at 9:54 am, Saturday, June 8, 2024 at her residence.

She born to the late Ardell Lalumondiere and Aloha (nee Poppen) Jones on September 7, 1947 in Red Bud, Illinois.

Sharon had worked at Singer Furnace Factory in Red Bud, Illinois and Gilster Mary-Lee Corporation in Chester, Illinois. She was the former owner of Boondocks Bar in Modoc, Illinois for 20 years before selling the business in 2019.

She loved music, singing, art, swimming, fishing, watching movies and spending time with family and friends.

It was Sharon’s wish to be cremated. The family is planning a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
