SHIRLEY L. DENTON, 78, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 9:25 pm, Monday, July 17, 2023 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home, Chester, Illinois.

She was born to the late Leo and Theda (nee DeRousse) Weber on June 16, 1945 in Praire du Rocher, Illinois.

Shirley married Jimmie Denton on October 5, 1980; he preceded her in death on November 1, 1997.

She had worked as a coordinator aide for Bronson Center in Centralia, Illinois for 7 years.

Shirley was of Catholic Faith. She enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, gardening, mowing lawn and anything outdoors.
