Thomas E. Jung

THOMAS E. JUNG, 83, of Sparta, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Sparta Community Hospital, Sparta, Illinois.

He was born to the late Joseph C. and Matilda (nee Sprietler) Jung on August 15, 1937 in Red Bud, Illinois.

Thomas married Bonnie J. Mertens on November 23, 1963 in Evansville, Illinois; she survives.

Thomas had worked as a pressman for Spartan Printing for 30 years. He was also a farmer.

He was a member of St. Pius V Catholic Church in Walsh, Illinois. Thomas was also a member of the Two-Cylinder Club, American Legion Post #1172 and Knights of Columbus #1952 in Evansville.

Thomas was an Army Veteran.

It was Thomas’ wish to be cremated.
