Tom W Jenkins

TOM W. JENKINS , 64, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 5:42 pm, Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

He was born to the late Thomas W. and Jean K. (nee Mertz) Jenkins, Sr. on February 1, 1955 in East St.Louis, Illinois.

Tom married Andrea Horrell on October 23, 1982 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud, Illinois; she survives.

Tom worked as a Salesman for Horrell Distributing in Red Bud, Illinois, until his retirement in 2006.

Tom was a kind and friendly man. He was a loving partner in life to his wife, Andrea, who ‘volunteered’ his expertise and common sense for community projects. He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, boating and traveling with dear friends. Although he was retired he kept a daily schedule of projects on the farm and rental property. Friends knew they could count on him if they needed a helping hand. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Tom was a member of the North County Country Club, where he looked forward to golf league every week, and was one of the ‘men behind the women’ of Santa’s Village, doing whatever was asked of him.
