Vernon W Kueker

VERNON W. KUEKER , 87, of Ruma, Illinois, passed away at 9:20 pm, Monday, March 29, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, Illinois.

He was born to the late Edward and Frieda (nee Schlemmer) Kueker on September 30, 1933 in Red Bud, Illinois.

He married Patricia Ann DuFrenne on September 11, 1954 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois; she preceded him in death on March 28, 1991.

He was at Golden Dipt in Millstadt, Illinois for 20 years.

Vernon was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Ruma, Illinois and Ruma Athletic Club. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, euchre and going camping. He had been Khoury League coach and had been a referee and umpire. He was inducted into the USSSA Hall of Fame as an umpire. He also served as Village Clerk of Ruma.
