Virginia "Ginny" L. Katt

VIRGINIA “GINNY” L. KATT, 89, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 9:30 pm, Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Independence Care Center, Perryville, Missouri.

She was born to the late Rudolph and Gladys (nee Mizer) Feegle on January 24, 1937 in Chester, Illinois.

Ginny married Victor E. Katt on October 9, 1965 at St. John Lutheran Church in Chester; he preceded her in death on March 16, 1999.

She had co-owned McConkey-Katt car dealership and also worked as a telephone operator in Chester.

Ginny was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester. She was also a member of the Chester Women’s Club, Chester Hospital Auxiliary, Chester Country Club and the Red Hat Society.

Surviving is her loving son, Kyle Rudolph Katt of Chester, Illinois. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Ginny is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many dear friends.
