Virginia "Ginny" G. Nordmeyer

VIRGINIA “GINNY” G. NORDMEYER, 78, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 11:44 am, Friday, September 17, 2021 at SIH Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, Illinois.

She was born to the late Robert and Genevieve (nee Moore) Dickson on May 29, 1943 in Chester, Illinois.

Ginny married Conan J. Nordmeyer on August 25, 1972 in Chester, Illinois; he preceded her in death on February 11, 2013.

Before her retirement, she had worked for Southern Illinois Eyecare in Chester for over 15 years.

Ginny was a member of First Baptist Church in Chester where she was also on the memorials and gifts committee. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Ginny was a 1961 graduate of Chester High School and had coordinated monthly luncheons for her classmates for several years. She loved spending time with her family.
