Virginia M. Long

VIRGINIA M. LONG, 90, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 1:50 am, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home, Chester, Illinois.

She was born to the late Eddie L. and Elsie M. (nee Bendorf) Howie on August 1, 1931 in Ellis Grove, Illinois.

Virginia married Glenn Long on April 14, 1951 in Chester, Illinois; he preceded her in death on October 28, 1964.

She had worked in housekeeping at Chester Mental Health Center for 18 years.

Virginia was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Chester and the Chester Senior Center. Virginia enjoyed crocheting, reading and doing word puzzles.
