Wallace “Sonny” W. Valleroy, Sr.

WALLACE “SONNY” W. VALLEROY, SR., 93, of Perryville, Missouri, passed away at 11:33 am, Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

He was born to the late Cleve and Ella (nee Harrison) Valleroy on May 26, 1932 in Chester, Illinois.

Sonny married Lucille Kline on May 14, 1955 in Perryville, Missouri; she survives.

He had worked at the International Shoe Factory for 19 years and then was a machine operator for Singer in Red Bud, Illinois for 21 years.

Sonny was of Christian Faith. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post #3553 and the American Legion Post #487 in Chester. He loved watching hummingbirds, cardinals and wildlife, woodworking, repairing lawnmowers and playing horseshoes.

He was a proud United States Army Korean War Veteran.
