WALTER R. DETERDING , 83, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport, Wichita, Kansas.

He was born to the late Ernest Robert and Ida Monica (nee Simpson) Deterding on September 22, 1936 in Modoc, Illinois

Walter married Mary Pearl Morrison on November 5, 1971 in Murphysboro, Illinois; she preceded him in death on June 4, 2009;

He owned and operated Deterding Insurance Agency from 1977 till his retirement in 1990. He was also a Farmer.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Illinois and the Moose Lodge #1764in Chester. Walter enjoyed traveling and gambling.

Walter had also served in the Army Reserve.
