WALTER F. ROWOLD , 10 2 , of Red Bud, Illinois, formerly of Chester (Bremen), Illinois, passed away at 7:35 pm, Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Red Bud Regional Care, Red Bud, Illinois.

He was born to the late Conrad and Emmiline (nee Goetting) Rowold on October 14, 1918 in Red Bud (Prairie), Illinois

Walter married Marcella Lindner on November 5, 1949 at St. John Lutheran Church in Bremen, Illinois; she preceded in death on March 11, 2019.

He worked at International Shoe Factory in Evansville, Illinois and later retired as a Security Therapy Aid from Chester Mental Health.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois, a life member of V.F.W. Post #3553 in Chester, a life member of American Legion BBK Post #480 in Steeleville, a life member of Disabled American Veterans – Jackson County #69, American Legion Post #133 in Perryville, Missouri and Life member and last charter member of V.F.W. Post # 6632 in Red Bud.

He was WWII Navy Veteran.
