Wayne A. Voss

WAYNE A. VOSS, 71, of Red Bud, passed away at 5:45 pm, Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Mercy Hospital South, St. Louis, Missouri.

He was born to the late Harry and Jean (nee Junge) Voss on November 29, 1952 in Red Bud, Illinois.

Wayne married Jeanie Piper on March 12, 1973 in Lawton, Oklahoma; she survives.

He had worked as an Auctioneer for 54 years and had retired as Randolph County Supervisor of Assessments after 28 years.

Wayne was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church in Red Bud. He was also a member of the Illinois Auctioneer Association where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Wayne enjoyed playing cards with family and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed reading, watching old westerns, traveling and trivia and he was the 3rd best Jeopardy player.

He was a United States Army Veteran.
