WILLIAM H. “ BILL” SCHAFER, JR., 90, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 12:51 am, Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Perry County Memorial Hospital, Perryville, Missouri.

He was born to the late William H. and Fannie (nee Penland) Schafer, Sr. on September 15, 1929 in Evansville, Illinois.

He was never married.

He was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran and of the Baptist Faith.

He enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and basketball.
