RALPH LOUIS SMITH, 70, of Chester, Illinois passed away at 11:44 am on Monday, August 3, 2015, at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois. He was born to the late Charles and Lena (nee Kingsten) Smith on September 21, 1944 in Chester, Illinois. Ralph married Carolyn C. Woodard on May 25, 2013 in Pinckneyville, Illinois. She survives. He was a member of Calvary Church, Sparta, Illinois. Ralph was the owner and operator of Smith Tractors, Chester, Illinois and was a retired farmer and coal miner. He was a member of American Thresherman Association in Pinckneyville where he was 2nd Vice President, River Hills Tractor Association, Case Collectors Club, and UMWA.
